What is the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA)?

FELA was created to ensure that railroad workers have a safe work environment in which to practice their craft. Additionally, this liability act protects workers and their families by giving railroad workers the right to compensation if they are injured while performing their job duties. Compensation claims include income loss, medical expenses, pain and suffering as well as partial or permanent disability.

Cancer Diagnosis?

Railroad workers are exposed to known carcinogens and are subject to developing many types of cancer. These types of occupational cancers are completely preventable if railroad companies adhered to government regulations already in place to provide a safe workplace.

Cancer victims of ANY kind including lung, bladder, kidney, prostate, esophageal, or mesothelioma can make claims. Smoking does not prevent a claim.
